It's been almost twenty-five years since I first entered the financial services business as a broker. I still remember my first speculative trade; it was a futures spread trade involving Live Hogs (all of my friends in the business were farmers). Soon after entering the finance business, I moved away from the brokerage side to the analysis side where I really wanted to be. I must have been doing something right, because I was promoted to Director of Research at the nation's largest options-only research boutique. In 1993, I left that firm to start my own company to focus strictly on volatility, and I still am 19 years later.

At Fishback Management & Research, we are all very involved in charitable activities, and we spend much of our time encouraging others to do the same. All profits from the sale of Don's best-selling book, Options for Beginners, is donated to the American Heart & Stroke Association. He is also a major contributor to The Children's Advocacy Center. It's not just money. Don is on the AHA local affiliate's Board of Directors, a member of the Executive Committee, and a member of the Commonwealth of Kentucky Advocacy Committee. All of our employees spend a tremendous amount of volunteer time devoted to our churches, the Boy Scouts, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and various other outreach programs.
One of the reasons that Don shares his methodology and analysis, is so that others can make money by trading options like he does, and by doing so will donate to a charity of their choice. If you are one of our many customers that have donated a portion of your profits to charity, we'd like to hear from you. This is the whole reason that Don does what he does, so as to pay it forward, and so that you can do the same. We encourage you to contact us, and we may even add your charity to our donation links as well. Email us at support@donfishback.com, or call if you would rather talk about it. Our direct dial number is 859-224-4424.

You all know I do a lot for various charities. A few years ago, I gave what is still the largest gift ever given by a private individual in our state's history to the American Heart Association. I know the AHA has appreciated my over 13-year involvement. And all the other charities I support greatly appreciate all that my employees and I do. But the thanks I got from the donation to Sudanese Refugee Education Foundation surprised even me. Like I said, I got letters. Click the images to read those letters. They are truly some of the most profound thank you notes I've ever read. And if these stories move you to make a contribution, please do.
